Refund Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
We want paying for ErfFind to feel fair. This policy explains when you get your money back, when you get account credit instead, and when a payment can't be refunded because the service has already been delivered. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
1. At a glance
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| We reject your paid listing | The full amount is credited to your account automatically, or refunded to your card if you ask |
| You cancel a paid listing before we review it | Full refund |
| Your listing has been approved and published | Not refundable (the service has been delivered) |
| You stop using a plan or branding part-way through | Not refundable; it stays active until the paid period ends |
| You switch plans | The unused value of your current plan carries over |
| You were charged in error | Full refund of the incorrect amount |
2. Listing fees and Featured upgrades
2.1 Rejected listings. If we reject a paid listing during review:
- the amount you paid is credited to your account straight away. For an agency listing, the credit goes to the agency; otherwise it goes to you.
- the credit is applied automatically to your next listing payment, including if you fix the listing and resubmit it.
- if you would rather have the money back on your card, ask us within 30 days of the rejection and we will refund it in place of the credit.
2.2 Cancelling before review. If you change your mind after paying but before we have reviewed the listing, contact us and we will refund the fee in full.
2.3 Published listings. Once a listing has been approved and published, the fee and any Featured upgrade are not refundable, because the advertising has been delivered. This remains true if the property sells or lets early, if you remove the listing, or if it expires.
2.4 Free listings. Free listing allowances have no cash value and cannot be refunded or exchanged.
3. Plans and CRM branding
3.1 Plans and CRM branding are paid in advance for 30 days at a time and never renew automatically, so you are never charged for a period you didn't choose to buy.
3.2 Once a period has started, it is not refundable in whole or in part. The service stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
3.3 If you switch to a different plan during a paid period, the unused value of your current plan is converted into days on the new plan, so you never lose money you have already paid.
4. Account credit
4.1 Account credit can be used for listing payments on ErfFind. It has no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account.
4.2 If you close your account while it holds credit from a rejected listing, we will refund that credit to the card originally used, if you ask us to within 90 days of closing.
5. Billing errors and service failures
5.1 Billing errors. If you were charged twice, charged the wrong amount, or charged for something you didn't receive, we will refund the incorrect amount in full once we have confirmed the error.
5.2 Service failures. If a paid service is not delivered because of a fault on our side, we will extend the affected period or refund it on a pro-rata basis, whichever you prefer. This covers, for example, a listing that is not shown for several days because of a problem with ErfFind.
6. Cooling-off
The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act gives consumers seven days to cancel certain online purchases. That right does not apply to a service that has already started with your agreement. Listings, plans and branding start when you pay and ask us to begin, so the right falls away once they start. Clause 2.2 still gives you a full refund if you cancel a listing before it is reviewed. None of this affects any other rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
7. How to ask for a refund
7.1 Email info@erffind.co.za with your invoice number (you'll find it under Invoices in your account) and a short explanation.
7.2 We will reply within five business days. Approved refunds are paid back to the card you used, through our payment provider Yoco. Your bank usually takes 5 to 10 business days to show the refund.
7.3 If you dispute a charge with your bank before contacting us, we may pause the account concerned while the dispute is resolved. Please talk to us first; we will try to put things right quickly.
